Mission West Community Development Partners (CDP) is guided by a dedicated Board of Directors who bring their expertise, passion, and vision to help strengthen our communities across Lake, Mineral, and Sanders Counties. We are seeking engaged individuals who want to make a difference in the future of Western Montana.

Why Serve on the Board?

As a Board Member, you will:

Help shape Mission West’s programs, priorities, and long-term strategy

Represent the needs and perspectives of our local communities

Support economic development, small business growth, and community well-being

Build connections with leaders, entrepreneurs, and partner organizations

Contribute your skills and insights to create lasting, positive change

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, industries, and experiences. Strong candidates will:

Live or work in our three-county service area

Have a passion for community development and collaboration

Commit to attending quarterly Board meetings and occasional committee work

Uphold Mission West’s mission, values, and goals
Experience in areas like business, finance, nonprofit leadership, agriculture, food systems, or rural development is a plus — but not required.

Commitment & Expectations

Board Members typically serve three-year terms and may be reappointed. Responsibilities include:

Attending regular Board meetings (quarterly)

Reviewing organizational materials and financial reports

Participating in at least one Board committee

Acting as an ambassador for Mission West in the community
